Privacy Policy for MyKaraoke Video

This policy explains what personal information Qwixor LLC (“we”, “us”) collects when you use MyKaraoke Video, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers our website (www.mykaraoke.video), our app (app.mykaraoke.video), our free tools, and our affiliate program.
1. What we collect
Your account. Your email address and name. You can sign in with Google, Apple or Discord, in which case we receive your email address and basic profile details such as your name and profile picture. You can also sign in with a code we email you, or with a password.
What you add to MyKaraoke Video. Audio and video files, images, lyrics, translations, chords, YouTube links, presets, templates, and the videos you create.
Payments. Stripe processes your payments and holds your full card details; we never see your full card number. We store your Stripe customer ID, your subscription and credit history and, when you give them at checkout, your billing name, phone number and address, and your card brand, last four digits and expiry date.
How you use our website and app. Your IP address, approximate location (country) based on your IP address, browser, device and operating system, the pages you visit, what you click and type, the site that sent you to us, and recordings of your sessions (see section 4).
Support. What you send us through the support widget or by email.
Free vocal remover. Your email address, the file you upload and your IP address.
Affiliates. If you join our affiliate program, the details you give when you sign up, such as your name, email address and PayPal details, and your referral and commission records.
Our free browser tools, such as the video converter, audio extractor, BPM changer, pitch shifter and key and BPM finder, process your files in your own browser. Those files are not uploaded to us.
2. How we use it
- To run MyKaraoke Video: create your account, process your files, render your videos, and keep your projects.
- To take payments, manage credits and send invoices.
- To send you emails about your account and exports, and marketing emails (see section 3).
- To answer your support requests.
- To stop bots, fraud and abuse.
- To understand how people use MyKaraoke Video, find and fix bugs, and improve the product.
- To measure how well our ads work.
- To track referrals and pay affiliates.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
3. Emails
We send emails you need, such as sign-in codes, export and processing updates, and payment emails.
We also send news, tips and special offers. When you finish setting up your account, and when you use the free vocal remover, we add your email address to our mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any of these emails, or by emailing privacy@mykaraoke.video. Stripe may also ask at checkout whether you want to receive promotional emails from us.
4. Cookies, analytics and session recording
We and the services we use set cookies and use similar browser storage for the following purposes:

Session recording. PostHog records sessions on our website and app. A recording shows the pages you visit, where you click and move the mouse, what you type into form fields, browser console messages, and the requests the page makes to our servers. We use recordings to understand how people use MyKaraoke Video and to fix problems. Recordings are kept for 90 days.
Sentry records a share of app sessions, and sessions where an error happens, including the text on screen and what you type into form fields. It also receives your user ID, email address and IP address with error reports. We use it to find and fix bugs.
We don’t currently show a cookie banner. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a tracker blocker; MyKaraoke Video keeps working, but you will need to sign in again if you block essential cookies.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal information with service providers in the categories below, only so they can do their job for us. Email privacy@mykaraoke.video if you would like the current list of providers.

Our staff can access your account, including viewing it as you see it, to provide support and fix problems.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or other people’s safety, or as part of a sale or merger of our business.
We don’t sell your personal information for money.
6. Affiliate program
If you sign up through an affiliate’s link, we record that affiliate’s referral code on your account and pass it to Stripe with your subscription. PromoteKit receives details of your subscription payments from Stripe to work out the affiliate’s commission. The affiliate can see limited information about you in their dashboard, but not your email address, and may only use it to check their commission.
If you are an affiliate, PromoteKit stores the details you give when you join and your referral and payout records, and we use them to run the program and pay you through PayPal.
7. Your files and links
Your uploaded files and created videos are stored in cloud storage and delivered through a content delivery network. They are served from long, hard-to-guess links that don’t require signing in, so anyone who has a link can open that file. Be careful who you share links with.
8. How long we keep it
- Your account, projects and files: until you ask us to delete them. Deleting a project in the app removes it from your dashboard, but its files are not deleted from storage straight away. Closing your account in the app signs you out and disables it, but does not delete your data. To have your account and data deleted, email privacy@mykaraoke.video.
- Videos uploaded for processing: the temporary processing copy is deleted within 31 days.
- Notifications: 30 days.
- Session recordings: 90 days.
- Payment and invoice records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
9. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. Depending on where you live (for example the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you may have further rights, such as objecting to certain uses or taking your data to another service. To use any of these rights, email privacy@mykaraoke.video from the email address on your account. We will reply within 30 days and won’t treat you differently for asking.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, we process your information to provide the service you signed up for, for our legitimate interests in running, securing, improving and promoting MyKaraoke Video, to meet legal obligations, and where you have given consent. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Where your data is processed
We are based in the United States, and most of our providers store and process data there. Some providers, such as our content delivery network and AI processing services, process data in other countries too. By using MyKaraoke Video, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and those other countries.
11. Security
Data sent to and from MyKaraoke Video is encrypted in transit, our database and storage providers encrypt data at rest, and access to our systems is limited to people who need it. No system is completely secure, and see section 7 about file links.
12. Children
MyKaraoke Video is not for children under 13, and affiliates must be at least 18. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, email privacy@mykaraoke.video and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top, and if the changes are significant, we will tell you by email before they take effect.
